Hello. My name is Christine Sugiyama and I'm one of the new members of I help out in international communications and projects and I went with Minakawa-san to India last October to help promote Asia-ARVO 2015. On the first day of the convention, I was assigned to hand out flyers and The Indian attendees were very receptive and listened to my explanations with a smile. I was pleased to hear that many Indian doctors are planning to attend WOC2014
. Also, who would have known that the Indians would love Japanese candies so much? The Japanese candies we handed out were a big hit! The convention was held at Ashok Hotel in New Delhi, and the venue quickly Many of them expressed eagerness to get a chance to visit Japan for the next Asia-ARVO event. We had put up a big poster and people asked about the official Asia-ARVO The eye-catching and colorful illustration by the famous artist Mr. Takashi Murakami transcends countries and cultures. We're honored that Mr. Murakami has agreed to let us use his work. There's still a lot for me to learn about planning and organizing conventions, and my trip to India was an eye-opener.
